Hardware Drivers

The drivers included on this page are intended for use with the RapidSE Desktop Software running on Windows platforms. For customers using Linux, the USB stick driver has been included in all recent kernels. To support the USB stick using an older kernel, other platforms, or your own custom applications, please contact us.

Installation Instructions:
Install driver before installing USB stick for the first time.
- Extract the zip file. Run Setup.exe and click "Install".
- When installation has finished, insert the RapidSE USB Stick.
- Windows will present the Found New Hardware wizard.
- From the first screen, select "No, not this time", and click Next.
- Fron the second screen, select "Install Automaticially" and click Next.
- If the Windows Logo Testing dialog appears, click "Continue Anyway"
- Click "Finish".
 
 
RapidSE Development Board and Programming Tool Driver

Installation Instructions:
Install driver before installing Development Board for the first time.
- Extract the zip file. Run setup.exe and click "Install".

- When installation has finished, connect the RapidSE Development Board.

RapidSE Desktop Software

Components of the RapidSE Desktop Suite

The RapidSE Desktop kit comprises two applications, RapidSE Desktop ESI (sometimes referred to as ESP) and RapidSE Desktop Devices, available here as separate downloads.

RapidSE Desktop ESI allows you to simulate a Smart Energy network coordinator or Energy Service Interface, and create an SE network.
RapidSE Desktop Devices allows you to simulate a Smart Energy router or endpoint, and join a Smart Energy network.

Note for existing RapidSE Customers:
The software versions below are compatible only with MMB Research's EM357-based hardware generation. If you are currently using EM250-based hardware, please contact us for legacy software and information on how to upgrade your hardware.

If the software on your EM357-based hardware is less than the minimum requirements listed below, RapidSE Desktop will automatically notify you and begin the update process
