RapidSE ZigBee Smart Energy Modules
RapidSE is available pre-installed on MMB Research’s low-cost 100mw power amplified ZigBee modules. RapidSE modules are available in a variety of configurations including surface mount, dual and triple SIP, or right angle (“USnap”) connectors.

Development Board
The development board can be used with RapidSE Desktop, or directly connected to Smart Energy devices for prototyping. RapidSE development boards offer multiple connections such as USB, UART, or SPI, and an Ember Insight port.

USB Stick
The RapidSE USB stick gives developers a convenient interface to a RapidSE-enabled ZigBee module as a companion to RapidSE Desktop, or for use with custom applications, such as those running on gateways or PCs.

RapidSE Desktop
RapidSE Desktop is a Windows application designed to assist developers in integrating RapidSE, and serve as a robust control and test platform for ZigBee networks and devices.
In conjunction with a RapidSE USB Stick, RapidSE Desktop will allow your PC to simulate an ESP, such as a smart meter or gateway, or a Home Area Network device.
The application will generate and transmit every frame in the RapidSE Serial Protocol. This allows developers to easily see how frames are generated and test functionality of peripheral ZigBee Smart Energy devices.
RapidSE Desktop is also available in a Demo version for device vendors to send along with their product demos.

Desktop & Development Kits
MMB Research offers a variety of RapidSE kits to provide both valuable development tools, and an ideal platform for evaluating third-party devices.
The configuration of the kits listed here are based on customers’ most common requirements. RapidSE USB Sticks and Development Boards can be interchanged without a change in cost. If you require an alternate configuration, please contact us.
Note that the RapidSE USB Sticks and Development Boards can easily be flashed with either the ESP or Devices version of the RapidSE firmware using the respective application in the RapidSE Desktop Suite.
RapidSE Desktop Kit
The RapidSE Desktop Kit provides developers or testers with a fully-featured software platform with which to test, control, and demonstrate ZigBee Smart Energy devices. The Desktop kit also provides access to the RapidSE Serial Protocol documentation and real-time output.
The RapidSE Desktop Kit contains:
